Contractors
All contractors must be registered with the City of Linn Valley before doing any work within the city limits. Registration confirms the contractor has paid the annual fee and provided proof of current liability insurance.

How to register
Submit a completed Contractor Registration Form along with:
- a copy of the contractor’s current liability insurance certificate, and
- the annual registration fee of $50.00.
Once approved, the contractor is added to the City’s approved Contractor List, which is available to all property owners.
Registration is valid for one calendar year (January 1 – December 31). To stay registered, insurance must be kept current — if the insurance certificate on file expires, the contractor is removed from the list until it is renewed.

Registered contractor list
The City maintains a current list of registered contractors, organized by trade (general construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, concrete, excavation, docks, decks, and more).
Being on the Contractor List means an individual or company provided the fee and documentation of liability insurance at the time of registration. A contractor’s insurance policy may not cover workmanship. Being on the list is not an endorsement of the contractor’s work, qualifications, or experience.
