Sewer

Sewage collection varies by property location. The city has two primary systems:

  • Holding tanks — collection is provided for a fee by the Linn Valley Lakes Property Owners Association (POA): 913.757.4591.
  • Low-pressure sewer system — uses a grinder pump and is required for residences within the sewer district. You can confirm your lot’s status using the Sewer District Boundary Map (PDF) or Ordinance #198 (PDF).

Per Ordinance #178 (PDF), all residences must be connected to the sewer system or an approved holding tank. Please review the City’s guide for what should not be flushed (PDF) into any sewage system.

Sewer questions: Codes Clerk 913.757.2391 · codesclerk@linnvalleyks.com, or City Hall 913.757.2926.

Water

The City of Linn Valley now operates its own municipal water system — a new water tower, distribution lines, and a fill station — supplied by treated water the City purchases wholesale from the City of La Cygne. Properties connected to the City’s water lines are served by the City, and the City is bringing more properties onto the system as it expands. See Water System Modernization for the project and its timeline.
