Rules for golf carts, ATVs, watercraft, and speed limits within the City of Linn Valley.
ATV registration & watercraft
Traffic within the city limits follows the Standard Traffic Ordinance for Kansas Cities and local ordinances. Additional details are in Ordinance #250.
Speed limits
- 40 mph on Ullery
- 35 mph on 2400 Road
- 25 mph within Linn Valley Lakes (unless otherwise posted)
Golf carts & ATVs
Golf carts and all-terrain vehicles do not require a driver’s license to operate within Linn Valley Lakes, but they are not allowed on City streets outside of Linn Valley Lakes. A valid driver’s license is required for all other vehicles, including work-site utility vehicles and micro utility trucks.
No ATV, work-site utility vehicle, golf cart, or micro utility truck may be operated from sunset to sunrise unless equipped with operable headlights and taillights. All vehicles must observe posted speed limits.
ATV registration
ATVs must display a current registration decal. Registration is administered by the Property Owners Association (POA): 913.757.4591. You’ll need proof of ownership, current liability insurance, and POA membership in good standing.
