City Hall
Dog licensing
All dogs over three months old that have lived in Linn Valley for 30 days must obtain a yearly license from City Hall. Proof of current rabies vaccination is required. License tags must remain on the animal at all times. Cats do not require a license.
License must be completed by May 1 each year.

Leash & at-large rules
Dogs must not be allowed to run without restraint. A dog must stay confined to the owner’s premises, within voice control, on a leash, in a cage, or in a vehicle. Unrestrained or unlicensed dogs may be impounded.
Animal regulations
- Dangerous dogs are prohibited (Ordinance 70).
- Livestock and domestic fowl such as chickens and ducks are not allowed within the city limits (Ordinance 83).
Impoundment
Impounded dogs may be claimed at City Hall. A kennel fee of $25 per day applies, and a valid city pet license must be obtained before release.
